Paediatric Osteopathy

What is Paediatric Osteopathy?

Paediatric Osteopathy is a specialism aimed at taking care of babies, children and teens, and mothers both before and after giving birth.

Babies

Childbirth is not always the easiest time for a baby, so it can often be reassuring to check that your newborn is adjusting well to life outside the womb.  From feeding, to sleeping and just ensuring that your baby is able to settle, Osteopathy can often help your newborn get off to a good start in their early weeks and months of life.

Children and Teens

Parents can often tell if their child is not fully comfortable in themselves, and this can show up as problems with behaviour, sleep, or general health.  With its multi-faceted approach to understanding each child as an individual, Osteopathy can help get to the root of what is going on, so that your child can fulfil their true potential.

Mothers

Pregnancy can be a challenging time for a woman’s body – changes in physiology, body shape and posture all affect each woman in her own individual way.  Osteopathic care can help support you from the increased demands of pregnancy, to recovery after childbirth, and as you learn to adapt to life caring for your newborn.
